i can play only half life the rest use multiplayer and i cant connect to one usualy if this was the steam one i would be able to connect via console

And for the guy who gave this a 1 star just because "UgLY HUd" or "CANt Go WIdeScrEEN" (wizardmagic): that's because the game was made in 1998, you idiot!

I'm going to give my dad this for fathers day (so he can relive some memories). I tested it out on my own, entered the product key on the original copy my dad owned, messed with the video and everything from that. Audio works fine, and textures look great! 4:3 is locked but editing hex values fixes that. (Still long loading screens even though its running on more powerful hardware.) Buut, it seems TF Classic does not work, or anything else but half life at all. Its fine, just a bit bugged.

If you are asked for a CD key serial code then got to this website and copy and paste any of the codes(they work and it doesn't matter which one you pick). Then you game should launch and work

Quite frankly, I am reluctant to call this a lazy archive move even though I know full well on how much effort it takes to do so when it comes to archive games in order to rescue them whatever bad happens to them. But long story short, I am a bit disappointed with this archive because, it doesn't come with a crack to bypass the serial CD code and then play the game. Make your own crack, or just locate one of the cracks online for the game and then insert it into the archive.

Additionally, the game doesn't have the music since the music file is missing for some reason after installing the game itself. When I was playing throughout the campaign, there was no music playing in the slightest, and its not located within the pak0.pak file either.

If those two aforementioned things are all fixed, I will reconsider downloading this again.

I wonder this will tested if a game thinks that video card "VMware SVGA II" could handle it or no.

I installed this game on Windows 10 1903 64-bits, entered a CD-Key I found online, and it worked right away! Video modes are restricted (no widescreen or HD support) but, come on, it's a 20 year old game!
Want no hiccups? Build yourself and retro machine (an easy to find and cheap Pentium IV 2.4GHz+ with a Geforce FXxxxx and a 4:3 monitor, for example) and you're good to go!

a great game but refuses to launch on my PC. first complains about dll files then refuses to launch by doing nothing. -- edit it appears it launches but takes a VERY long time to launch

Great contribution man! Always cried playing the game back in Windows 10 and remembering such good times when I was young and I had no problems (but escape from Black Mesa!)

I always use this because my original disc is scratched. Works flawless on Windows 10 in it's native gameplay. Can be hex-edited to run in widescreen and higher FOVs.

I thought that this game will be awesome but no, ugly hud and i can't change video settings, i can't put in widescreen nothing. 1 star.
