Adobe Photoshop Elements
Adobe Photoshop (Elements) is a graphics editor for photographers, image editors and hobbyists. It contains most of the features of the professional version but with fewer and simpler options. The program allows users to create, edit, organize and share images. It is a successor of Adobe Photoshop (Limited Edition).[1]
Originally introduced alongside Adobe Photoshop version 6, Photoshop Elements targets photography enthusiasts and thus lacks many features that make it useful in a proper print production environment.[1] For example, Photoshop Elements cannot export files in the CMYK color mode, supports a simplified color management system, and excludes detailed soft-proofing. It also includes a limited set of Photoshop plugins, and instead has a number of features aimed at non-experts (such as removing the red-eye effect or changing the skin tone in a picture). An example of a redesigned feature is the Variations correction dialog. Some versions can, however, open, edit, and save PDFs.[which?] The Mac version does not allow keyboard shortcuts to be added through the Mac System Preferences, as can be done with virtually all other programs for Mac.
Photoshop Elements is the most recent update Adobe has issued.[when?] Despite accusations that this version is unreliable and regularly crashes,[citation needed] no further updates have followed.
Version 13 no longer supports the Windows XP platform. While Adobe no longer sells earlier XP-compatible versions on its site, users can still register and use retail packaged editions of earlier versions that may still be available in retail outlets.
But with the latest release of Adobe Photoshop Elements , Adobe has improved performance and also added new features and tools over the years, like the new AI powered one-click subject selection, new home screen, content-aware crop, automatic image colorization and skin smooth. In this new version users now can add facial expressions to the images with the power of Adobe Sensei machine learning AI, which was introduced in Batch Editing and adding slideshows, filters and effects to the images were also possible with the recent versions.
Photoshop Elements is available for Windows and MacOS. It is not available as part of a creative cloud subscription, but rather as a single purchase or upgrade purchase. Additionally, a bundle of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements is available for purchase.[2]

Hello,
We had one of our employees buy a personal copy of Photoshop Elements He might have tried to install it himself, but couldn't.
The big thing is we are trying to find the serial key to activate it. We've looked at everything he gave us, but we're not seeing it.
Anyone who has purchased a physical copy recently, what should the license key be on?

The key is usually located on the inside of the case on a yellow slip of paper/card stock, or on the back of the included documentation (not sure how they are dong it these days).
Alternatively, if the software was registered with adobe, you should be able to pull a copy of the key through your account.

Simple program, takes a few minutes to run. If the serial # was activated on the computer, this program will find it.
Was it ever registered? Was it bought from manicapital.com? The license is usually on the disc case.
*EDIT* Wow this one was a race, I lost.
Either on a card or on the sleeve. However, those are all BlackHawk nowthe key doesn't activate til you pay for it at the register

It was never activated. The user has a mac, and it hadn't been updated in QUITE a while, and wasn't compatible. So, now, I'm trying to get some specifics to pass on to the wife of the user to check for at home.

The key has to be activated at the register. That's what I was saying. It's then activated for use on the computer. (Sorry if that's confusing) It can't be used until activated at the register and then can only be used on I believe 2 computers. If there is a compatibility issue, then you may be stuck

If it is not in your possession then it sounds like it should be a non it issue and is out of your hands.
Edited Feb 1, at UTCI use RecoveryKeys for just this purpose. If we ever lose the card that came with the product, you can use RecoveryKeys to pull all license keys from the machine. It's also handy to have them all in one place

Michael, yes, but, once again, the software had not yet been installed on the computer.
Sounds like an excellent reason to use manicapital.com instead; no licensing issues, and no wondering if the retail clerk actually authorized the key.
Of course, you'd have to use Bootcamp or a VM on a Mac to do that.
Last year I bought a copy for my friend and the number was on the back of the plastic case. Is activation something new? I don't recall having to enter the number when I installed it on her computer.

Thanks so much. Yes, I still have the OEM version installed until I get this figured out.
Unfortunately, there is no such CVA file anywhere on my system (and no directory entitled photopin anywhere on my system).
I did a search of all CVA files, and found one (PCVA) that corresponds to Photoshop Elements, but there is no serial number in it. The entire contents are below. Any ideas? Thanks again!
